Cllr Emily Price, Mayor of Totnes said: “I was saddened to hear of the death of one of our former Mayors, Jean Harrop. Jean was a town councillor throughout the early 2000’s, including a year serving as Mayor of Totnes in 2009. She is fondly remembered for her dedication to our community and her commitment to her role at the Town Council. At the request of her family, a Civic Party will form a guard of honour at her funeral as a mark of respect and thanks. The funeral takes place at St Mary’s Church at 11am on Wednesday 13 March. Our thoughts continue to be with her friends and family at this sad time.”
