Have you seen the latest beautiful works of art in Fore Street, created by the children at our local primary schools?
Both schools ran a competition in their year 6 classes to see who could create a design for one of the Town Council planters in town.
Children from St John’s all collaborated to come up with their designs and decided as a class which ones to choose. Jasper, Sophie, Remy and Hayden all popped along to admire their planter and were delighted to see their work and school represented in town.
After a number of excellent entries into the competition at the Grove, the winning design was chosen by the headteacher. Hazel and Dora also popped by to see their planter and were thrilled with the final result which is on display for the town to see.
Don’t forget to admire the work the next time you pass through Fore Street.
